I have known Matt for many years since he was in charge of building my parents dream house and ever since he has been a good family friend and has been recommended by my father and I to many friends. When my wife and I bought our first house, we decided to remodel it as time went by but when we found out we had a little one on the way, Matt was there to save the day. We still had the living room and kitchen to do as well as all the flooring on the main floor. He provided everything we were looking for in terms of creativity, design, crew selection, project management and expedition, quality, neatness, minimal disruption, overall cost and project follow up. Matt was sensitive to our time and budget restraints and finished the project on time and on budget. Since then (9 months later), he has followed up with any concerns we have had. When I get ready... someday... for remodeling my basement, he will be the first and only call I need to make.

With a strong to desire to build a new home, came the great fear with this huge undertaking that we had never experienced before. In search of the builder of our home, we were introduced to Matt Patterson from Brightwood Homes, LLC, by our real estate agent. Our first impression was that Matt was honest and trustworthy and felt confident that he would do a good job for us.
Matt started our home in December 2003 and completed in one week behind schedule the first of June 2004. Matt was truly great to work with. He was honest with his recommendations and never made us feel as thought he was trying to under or over sell anything in the home being built.
Matt always gave us the feeling that he was treating each stage of our construction as though it was a home he was building for himself. Matt was responsive to all calls and was always available for our questions or concerns. Never did you put us on hold or not return our calls within a couple of hours calling him. His directions and suggestions were extremely helpful and appreciated during our home being built.
We are 100% happy with home, the components that were used for the home and the over all construction. If and when we decided to build another home, without a question it will be built by Matt Patterson with Brightwood Homes, LLC! We are happy and proud owners of our home.

My husband & I purchased some acreage in La Center, Washington and began our search for a builder that we could trust. We researched builders big & small for about 6 months. After meeting with several builders, we finally narrowed our list down to four before asking for preliminary bids. Brightwood Homes, LLC wasn't the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. What we initially liked about Matt and Brightwood Homes, LLC was his responsiveness, his questions and his attention to detail. His attention to details & his descriptions for each category in the bid itself were easy to follow & self explanatory. Some of the other bids were very general & provided little information. After meeting with Matt a few times, we felt pretty comfortable that he was our best choice and he seemed pretty honest.
We made several changes during the construction of our home & found Matt to be very helpful & patient. He constantly made suggestions for both up-grades & ways we could actually save money. Some of his ideas were things we hadn't even thought of. For example, our initial bid/house plans included 4" interior trim throughout the house. Before installing the trim, Matt pulled us aside and suggested that we go with a 6" trim instead. He explained that with our vaulted ceilings & large open space, the wider trim would fill out the area better & look more appealing. We weren't really sure at the time but we trusted Matt at this point and went with his recommendation. This is something we never would have thought of. Boy was he right! I've been in other homes & noticed their 4 " trim in a big area and it makes a huge difference. It just doesn't look as nice.
Matt was extremely easy to work with & very responsive through out the entire home building process! Our dream home was completed on time & we are very pleased with the quality & results. We felt that Matt was always striving to do the best he could to make sure that we were happy with our home & his customer service. Matt checked in with us several times after our home was completed to make sure everything was OK.
We highly recommend Brightwood Homes, LLC to anyone considering building or improving their homes. We couldn't have been happier with choosing Matt & Brightwood Homes, LLC as our builder.

I am pleased to reccommend Matt Patterson owner of Brightwood Homes, LLC as a quality builder. Matt built my new home south of Kalama WA in 2007. Matt is easy to work with. He listens to your ideas and is knowledgable enough to point out what will work and what won't. Matt is honest and fair. He has a good relationship with his sub-contractors, he stays on top of things and keeps the project moving forward. If I ever build another home in the area I would want Matt to build it for me.
